Go back to Control Panel and uninstall Office 365. Then install Office again from the MyAccount site. As computer scientists we are trained to communicate with the dumbest things in the world – computers – so you’d think we’d be able to communicate quite well with people.
Our Windows 10 devices have recently received a Office 365 update for v1908 and now a privacy pop-up occurs for every user that signs into an Office product like Excel. The Windows 10 devices are being used for Robotic Process Automation so the privacy pop-up causes the automation to terminate unless a user signs into each VDI and presses close
I opened Excel and found the options for Office updates - I disabled it & told it not to update itself. Didn't help. Pops up every 20-30 mins or so. Microsoft just can't do a thing right lately - It's another update screw up that needs fixing. It'll pop up in the middle of anything, including full screen games, totally disruptive.
Report abuse. In reply to Ed Hansberry (work acct)'s post on August 14, 2018. Ed, I just received an Office update 1809 10809.20001 that appears to fix the problem. The repeated prompt for id/password seems to be an issue with 1809 10801.20004. I made no changes, no reboots nothing but let Office update to this newer version and it's working
Then re-install Office. If you have an Office 365 for Business or Education subscription, you can log into Office portal with the corresponding account and click Install Office button to install. If above doesn't work from your side, then I think this issue might be raised by your local environment (Settings, Registry).
Get rid of "Get Office," "Get Skype" and "Get Started." Click "Start". Click "All Apps". Find the application (Get Office) in the list (scroll down or search) Right click on the app name. Click uninstall. Follow the prompts to uninstall.
