The only reason I can think of that this version got a 9 while the other two a 10, is because of : missing multiplayer, and when compared to other modern remakes (like resident evil series), this game wasn’t considered as good of a remake and didn’t have enough changes to make it a good remake. The Last Of Us. According to Jason Schreier’s latest article on Bloomberg, Sony and Naughty Dog are remaking The Last of Us for PlayStation 5. This came out of nowhere as few expected that a game released in 2013 and remastered in 2014 would be remade any time soon. The use of the word ‘remake’ has had a lot of people worried.
Between gameplay and story it's a solid experience. Upon further replays, I find that The Last of Us is less horror and more of a survivalists tale. It's packed with great dialogue and character interactions. It does a great job of representing characters who share history without having to explore or exposit.
